Spring 2024 course migration planning is underway and training sessions continue. An in-depth conversation about data is in progress. Non-academic and resource course migrations can be prioritized by initiating a request.
Please note that the Feature 360: Quick Eval & Class Progress training session is scheduled this morning at 9:00 am. A recorded video will be uploaded to the Brightspace training section of the website, accessible at https://brightspaceinfo.aurora.edu/training following the training session. Two additional training sessions are scheduled in May, covering Quizzes and Intelligent Agents.
Preparations are currently underway to migrate spring 2024 on-campus Moodle courses to Brightspace. Due to the substantial amount of data comprising spring 2024 Moodle courses, the process is expected to take time. ITS plans to migrate non-academic Moodle courses and courses categorized as resources within Moodle and is actively communicating with several faculty members regarding the migration of these types of courses. If a specific non-academic or resource course needs to be prioritized for an earlier migration, please contact brightspace@aurora.edu to initiate a request.
ITS and D2L concluded the final weekly discovery session, which focused on exploring portfolio options available within Brightspace. Although the discovery sessions are complete, ITS is maintaining a consistent schedule of weekly meetings with D2L teams to address any open concerns or issues related to the migration process and management of the project. Additionally, ITS is initiating another engagement with Brightspace to conduct a more in-depth analysis of data-related aspects. These discussions will involve the participation of relevant staff members from various university departments.
