LTI integrations are progressing and several tools are now available. The course creation process is ongoing and a new training session is available August 16 with more details forthcoming. The course migration process continues.
Several LTI integrations for Brightspace have recently advanced in the implementation process. First and foremost, ITS is excited to announce the successful integration of Perusall, Tutor.com, Elsevier, Cengage, Tevera, Turnitin, and LibApps into the Brightspace LMS. ITS is collaborating closely with faculty and administrators to ensure optimal functionality.
Significant progress has been made in integrating Aktiv, OpenOChem, ALEKS, FlatWorld, DawnSignDigital, Labster, and VoiceThread into Brightspace. ITS is working diligently to bring these valuable tools to students and instructors. Additionally, ITS is in the final stages of evaluating CodeGrade, ReadSpeaker, Respondus, and Evaluate for integration. Once testing is complete, these tools will be added to Brightspace, further enriching the teaching and learning experience.
Fall 2024 course creation is progressing, and additional courses are now available for faculty members to use. ITS is currently focused on finalizing fall 2024 courses for BUS and REC courses, and an update on the status of these courses will be provided soon.
Mark your calendars! A new training session focused on grading and content management within Brightspace will be held on August 16 at noon, providing faculty members with valuable insights and best practices.
Looking for more in-depth explanations or have specific questions? ITS is currently working with D2L to schedule dedicated question-and-answer sessions with a Brightspace training specialist. Details on how to attend these live sessions will be provided soon. In the interim, previously recorded Brightspace training materials are available on the website at https://brightspaceinfo.aurora.edu/training. New instructional guides are also being added to the ITS Knowledge Base.
The migration of Moodle courses to Brightspace for adjunct faculty accounts starting with the letters A through H is complete, and the process to migrate the remaining adjunct faculty courses is in progress.
