Migration Status and Fall 2024 Creation

The migration of adjunct faculty Moodle courses to Brightspace is complete. ITS has identified a small number of courses belonging to adjuncts with dual faculty and student accounts that may not have fully migrated, and ITS is currently collaborating with D2L to develop a solution for these cases. Full-time and adjunct faculty members unable to locate their migrated courses may contact itshelp@aurora.edu for assistance.

The continuous enrollment process for students and faculty in fall 2024 courses is still being conducted manually due to ongoing data resolution efforts. BUS and REC courses still cannot be created due to related data issues but are expected to be automatically created in early July. An additional enrollment run to add faculty to courses is scheduled for next week. Faculty members unable to view their fall 2024 courses are encouraged to contact itshelp@aurora.edu, and ITS will investigate further.

New Training Sessions

There will be two “Ask Me Anything” question-and-answer style sessions for Brightspace in August. ITS is finalizing arrangements with D2L to schedule one session the week before classes start and one session during the first week of classes.

ITS is actively expanding the Knowledge Base of training guides for Brightspace, and some faculty members have inquired about training guides for specific Brightspace topics. If you would like to request a guide or video related to a specific Brightspace topic, please contact itshelp@aurora.edu.
